Compilations Index

A "compilation" is a recording comprising material drawn from various previously issued items. For example, there have been many highlights discs compiled from the D'Oyly Carte complete opera recordings.

Because there are so many compilations, they are presented on four separate pages:

From Vintage Recordings (ca. 1906-1936)

From the D'Oyly Carte Sets (1949-1979)

From the Sargent/EMI Sets

From Other Sources (G&S For All, New D'OC, etc.)

  • The instrumental index lists recordings of instrumental (non-vocal) highlights.
